THE BRIDE’S SONG! part 3.
Weddings are a wonderful special occasion!
It is a time when the bride comes to her bridegroom and is joined in marriage. Questions the bride need to know!
Who chooses the bride for Jesus? The simple and most direct answer is “his Father”.
In the bible, Abraham pictures God when he went to offer up his son Isaac and he (Isaac) in turn represents Jesus in drama form. God chose the wife for Isaac who was Rebecca (Genesis chapter 24v1-34 especially v7) and he will choose the wife for his beloved son Jesus. These have already been chosen and all their names have already been recorded in God’s book in heaven, just as was Jeremiah, Cyrus and others who have been used by him to fulfil his wishes. They were chosen vessels too. (Jeremiah chapter 1v1 ~ Isaiah chapter 44v28, 45v1 ~ 2nd Chronicles 36v21) So those who make up this composite bride class have already been chosen by the Father just as it has been shown in: – Matthew chapter 24v30,31 ~ Mark chapter 13v20,27 ~ revelation chapter 17v14.
Question 2 How many make up this bride class?
Some people feel the bible’s account of them being 144,000 in the Revelation’s of John through Jesus is symbolic. But, is it? Lets take a look at the evidence we have in the bible.
Just as a builder calculates how many bricks he will need for his building, so too, the father has made a certain number of “living stones” to build the spiritual temple. He is a God of order. Jesus has already said his apostles would be the 12 foundation stones of the temple and all the others would be built up upon them. The bride, temple and the body of the Christ all symbolically represent this group of chosen ones. Revelation chapter 6v11 shows there will be a specific number + 7v4, 9 + 14v1-3, shows this number to be 144,000. Other references we have are: – Ephesians chapter 2v21, 22 + John chapter 2v21.
So the number is recorded as 144,000 chosen ones. Twelve thousand from each of the tribes of Israel. Why would we doubt the words of our Lord Jesus to the apostle John? We wouldn’t would we?
Question 3 How will they be resurrected?
Jesus made reference to this “NEW TEMPLE” when he told his apostles the temple in Jerusalem will be destroyed but he was going to “RAISE” a new temple in 3 days. John chapter 2v19, 21. This indicates the raising of the new temple as taking Jesus three days to raise, resurrect his temple class, bride class. Jesus made reference to this temple as being built upon the apostles as the 12 foundation stones of that temple. Ephesians chapter 2v20-22. The temple will also represent his body and 1st Corinthians chapter 3v16 shows “you are God’s temple” (chosen ones) Revelation chapter 3v12 shows the pillars in the temple and finally 1st Thessalonians chapter 4v15 shows they will all be resurrected as ONE WHOLE BODY to meet their Lord, their husbandly owner.
So how will they be raised, resurrected? Just as Jesus indicates, in 3 days, he will raise them up from their sleep to build them up into a spiritual temple. They will all meet their Lord and bridegroom as ONE complete body, all 144,000.
Question 4 When will they be resurrected?
After Satan has been put into the abyss for the duration of Jesus reign of the 1,000 years. Revelation chapter 20v1-4. Then he will appear as the anointed king over the earth and he will send out his angels to gather the remaining chosen ones from the four corners of the earth. Those who are still alive at this time will give up their right to the earthly life with their families and they will be given a new spiritual outlook as perfect humans just as Adam was in the garden of Eden, then they will meet up with their Lord who has come for them and they will be taken to be with him. He will take them to a new life as adopted sons of God his Father and they will be given everlasting life just as the resurrected ones.
The reference in 1st John chapter 3v1-3 shows: ~
“ See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.”
When John wrote this, it had not been the time to reveal to him “what we will be?” The majority of people believe the first resurrection will be to a “spiritual body” as angels, and they will go to heaven to be with the father. But this is not really logical and does not fully fit the other scriptural references.
True! Jesus was resurrected back to the angelic body he was created with before coming to the earth, but we have been created as Earthly sons, made up of flesh and blood and not angelic in nature. So our resurrection will be a human resurrection, but with a perfect body in mind and spirit just as Adam was. This is why John says, “when Christ appears we shall be like him” we are human, made up of flesh and blood and when Christ appears, yes” we shall be like him, as humans. He was a perfect human while he was on the earth and he will appear the same on his return to his bride. But we shall be perfect like him. He rode into Jerusalem on an ass to receive the kingdom and he was given the kingdom of Judah, as “the one whose right it was”according to the prophesies. Ezekiel chapter 21v25-28 explains the kingdom was taken away from Israel, God’s adopted son, because of her unfaithfulness in 605 BC and the kingdom will be given back to Israel when the rightful one appears to claim it which Jesus did when he rode into Jerusalem on an ass. An EARTHLY KINGDOM and the wife that has been chosen for him will be from the human family. (John chapter 17)
When our lord Jesus Christ returns he will have to return in the same body he had when he became Jesus, God’s son on the earth, which was in human form of flesh and blood. He only became Jesus when he was born on the earth, it is not his angelic name, but his human name. Also when he was given the kingdom after riding into Jerusalem on an ass, he received the earthly kingdom of Judah, so his kingdom would have to be on the earth too. The bride he was promised as his helpers, would be made up of the same, flesh and blood. Whereas Jesus was perfect in body and mind, so too, will his bride after their resurrection, and those who will be alive at the time of his return, will not need to die, but they will be healed in body and mind to become perfect beings.
Also Jesus own words in Luke chapter 22v14-19 indicates very strongly that he will not eat or drink from the vine until it has been fulfilled in the kingdom, does that mean he will then eat and drink from the vine again under the kingdom over the earth?
So, what does it mean, they will be resurrected to the heavens? It is referring to the earth’s heavens and not the high heavens with the father. The high heavens is our father’s abode with his angelic sons and he has given a bride from the human family to his son who reigns over the earth in the earth’s heavens. Just as John chapter 17 shows, they belonged to the father, but he gave them to Jesus as the start of his “bride class” This is explained in many bible references to the “sky” as being in the heavens. When the waters were divided in Genesis and caused an expanse in the middle called the heaven’s and when the apostles watched as Jesus was taken up into the “heavens” this was the “sky”, Mountains are said to have their tops in the heavens and when a terrific downpour happens it is said the heavens opened up and it poured with rain. Again, it states Jesus as coming on the “clouds of heaven” logically speaking there would be no clouds in the high heavens, as clouds are formed from the rain. Mount Everest is said to be the highest mountain in the world and is said to have its top in the heavens, and Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK has its top in the heavens, sky. Revelation chapter 21 amongst other bible references show the new spiritual city heavenly Jerusalem, or heavenly Zion as it is referred to “comes down to the earth”.
We also have the account in Daniel chapter 10 where the angelic rulers over the earth would not allow Gabriel to pass on down through to the earth to visit Daniel. They were ruling over the earth from the “earth’s heavens”, just where jesus and his bride will rule from.
It is also interesting to read Revelation chapter 5v9-12 which says, “And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.
You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.” Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and praise!” Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honour and glory and power, for ever and ever!” Yes! they will reign on the earth with their bridegroom Jesus.
As humans we have been accustomed to the use of “cities” which are built up areas, but what about the heavenly city of Jerusalem, heavenly Zion? Will that be a city in the same way as cities are today? No! of course not. Adam’s home in the beginning was a beautiful garden home, not made up of houses and buildings but of a paradise home. as perfect beings this was all that was needed, they will not need to sleep in the same way as imperfect beings, just as Jesus often stayed in the open, we do not know if he needed sleep as a perfect being to recharge his batteries so to speak. So heavenly Zion, will be a beautiful paradise home not made up of buildings as such, and the temple will be his bride.
Our father is the king over the high heavens with his woman of chosen helpers over his angelic family, and his son Jesus will be the king over the earth with his woman, 144,000 helpers over the earth. Both kings but rulers over different kingdoms.
